And I wonder...How do you tell someone you don't think they love you enough?

Margaret Dust was beginning to gather on the shelf. My fur was musty, my paws were beaten and worn, and my ears barely hung by a thread. I thought back to the days when I was adored by the children, but most of all, by Margaret. I was with her during the lively hours of day, through tea parties and pirate games. I was with her during the quiet hours of night, through untainted sleep and pleasant dreams. Tenderly, her lips grazed my head and her fingers smoothed my fur; I knew then, I would always belong to her.

six scenes later you can't commit and I can't believe it.

please speed up, this scene makes me nauseous.
what? the VCR is broken? it can't be.
you are with her and i am gasping for air.

this isn't happening, but it is.
seven scenes drag by and it's now present day.
i'm sitting in my room replaying this tape
on a continuous reel.

Opposites Attract TragedyIt's like a shooting star plummeting to the earth at break neck speed, her little spirit wailing in sorrow that when she finally fell into the arms of her lover, it was in her death.

It's like an atom split in two, when Einstein broke her tiny heart. Her tears rained down flames and radiation, the sadness catastrophic.

It's like the wave crashing upon the sand. Ocean and land longing to be together, but their fingers are never strong enough to hold on for long.

It's like the shadow and the light dancing in the park at sundown. Moving together in harmony but never being able to touch.

It's like a breeze

Silence is far from goldenBound by your silence.
Trapped at the bottom of the ocean: without oxygen, without you.
Your lips don't speak, your fingers don't write.
Just your lingering silence. Wounding my heart. Leaving bruises on my skin.

My Loving VirusI never realized how much I needed you. You just showed up one day and never left. We became best friends, and lovers, but never once did I see the impact you had on my life. I think we should sit together under the stars and not count them because let's face it… that can be exhausting, instead we should entwine our fingers like delicate lace that in a moment's time could be torn apart. Let me tell you something darling.

Let me tell you that when life turns on you and swallows your heart, you better climb down its throat and show the beast with claw and hoof that you are more than that. You are so much more.

You are so much more, because you will take your heart back and show this beast with bloodied hands, and scarred knees that your beating, living, life in an organ, can take more than it knows.

Show it that when you're crawling and gasping for another try, nothing will stop you because when you don't have your heart, you have your soul. So let that ignite and bring you on your feet, run for your life.

When you catch up after so much time, and so many tears…leap.
